The Order : Weekly Aggregator Roundup - GoNorth
Chart of the week #1: Valuation Multiples
The Fortia Group in its latest webinar put some numbers to the recent decline in multiple. A survey among 35 aggregators/buyer participants indicated that 82% of respondents are seeing 2 - 4x SDE (incl deferred comp). This is down from Dec 2021 numbers where a 30% saw a 3-4x multiple, 43% a 4-5x, and 17% above 5x.
Chart of the week #2: Customer Engagement
Shopify released its future of eCommerce report full of stats around eCommerce growth, brand interaction and customer behavior. One trend is that more and more eCommerce brands are looking at novel ways of interacting with its customer base through chat rooms / community hubs, real life experiences, or recipes.
